After a very challenging 16 month closure we are excited to announce that we've  reopened our  day center on Monday, August 2, 2021. We need your help now more than ever so that we can provide the necessary services to our seniors (our neighbors, family, friends). Imagine being in your 50's, your kids have left home and you're planning your retirement.  Will it be travel, a new home, charity work?  Now imagine that you find out you can't have any of it.  Alzheimer's disease or any type of dementia is an earth shattering diagnosis not only for the patient but for the family and everyone who loves them.  The Tender has been a 501c3 charity since 1977.  We're located in Mt. Laurel, NJ and provide a day center to give our clients a way to enjoy life again at whatever level they can.  It also provides much-needed respite and a support group for their very overwhelmed caregiver.  

We started this Go Fund Me page to be able to provide as much stimulation and fun as possible at our day center.  Our folks LOVE music and dancing and massage, pet and garden therapy, parties and the occasional visit from the ice cream truck!  As a small charity we are dependent upon donations to make these and other fun experiences happen.  If you know or have ever known someone with any form of dementia, you know how special those moments are.
