The Speedomick Foundation

“Pulk & Peak - Cold Frontier 2026” is an expedition to the Nordic polar landscapes where the team will get back to basics, working together in the harsh snow-covered winter mountains to overcome the challenges set by nature. It’s about embracing the raw, untamed environments and pushing ourselves to experience true adventure. In doing so, we aim to raise awareness and fundraise for our two chosen charities, promoting practical support and care, to bring lasting improvements to disadvantaged young lives so that no child is ever left out in the cold.

All charity donations will be split equally between our two chosen Charities, which are (in alphabetical order);

Fatima’s UK Campaign and The SpeedoMick Foundation are two inspiring charities united by a shared mission — to create lasting, positive change in the lives of young and vulnerable people. Fatima’s UK Campaign, founded and chaired by Fatima Whitbread, works tirelessly to raise awareness for young people in care, ensuring that children are seen, heard, and valued. Through advocacy, practical support, and emotional care, they strive to protect and empower young people, championing every child’s right to a nurturing environment and a brighter future.

Similarly, The SpeedoMick Foundation is dedicated to supporting disadvantaged young people, homelessness and mental health. Guided by compassion and inclusivity, they aim to help individuals and families overcome hardship, believing that a difficult start in life should never dictate one’s future potential.

Together, these two organisations represent a powerful collaborative force for good — combining passion, empathy, and experience to ensure support young lives. By joining efforts, Fatima’s UK Campaign and The SpeedoMick Foundation amplify their impact, fostering hope, opportunity, and resilience in communities across the UK.

I will be walking from John O'groats to lands end, covering 1000 miles in total.

I will be taking this next challenge on in the winter months starting in mid-December and as per usual I will be doing it in just my speedos and trusty walking boots.

Sadly after i have finished this next challenge i will be hanging up my Blue knickers for ever more.

I have spent seven years tirelessly fundraising for charity and im a bit knackered now and i also want to spend more time with my loved ones as we don't have them forever do we.

But it's not over yet we have this last walk to complete before I say goodbye to my stomping days, I'm no spring chicken you know.

On this next challenge i will be will be fundraising for something that is very close to my heart and that is mentalhealth and suicide prevention, I have suffered from mentalhealth most of my adult life and still do suffer from it to this day.

The donations from this walk will going to our very first Speedomick foundation mentalhealth project's something I have dreamt of doing for a long time now and it will be a dream come true for me to be able to give back to my community and support people who are suffering from mentalhealth.

Along side our fundraising on this charity walk the Speedomick Foundation will also be gifting grants to small grass root's charities that support mentalhealth disadvantaged young people and homelessness. These charities our vital in and for our communities and they are usually run by the people in those communities. Because of this they usually know what support is needed and who needs the support whether it be food, shelter, mentoring health through sports, suicide prevention mentalhealth safeguarding and much more. I am very proud to say that The SpeedoMick Foundation donated a massive quarter of a million pounds to small charities on my last walk. Essentially the SpeedoMick Foundation is redistributing the donations that I received on my fundraisers by putting it back into the communities of those who supported me and donated on my challenges which is only right.

I have managed to raise a staggering 800 thousand pounds on in the last 7 years, and that is simply because of your continued support and generosity. On my last 2500 mile walk you donated a massive £200,000 for my efforts and if by some miracle we managed this again then I will have raised £1,000,000 for charity and that will also be a dream come true and such an amazing achievement from a man who not so long ago had lost his dignity lost his pride lost his home lost his family and any hope. I have all that back in my life today because I received support and I hope to we can give that back through the SpeedoMick Foundation and our new mentalhealth projects.

I’m excited to share that I’ll be fundraising once again for The Speedo Mick Foundation, and this time, it’s something truly special. This summer, we’ll be hosting the world premiere of a musical that tells my story—one of resilience, hope, and giving back. It’s more than a show; it’s a celebration of everything we’ve achieved together and a chance to keep the mission alive.

After years of adventures in my Speedos—marathons, Channel swims, and thousands of miles walked—I’ve retired the blue knickers for good. But the passion for helping others is still burning strong. Over the past seven years, together we’ve raised close to £1,000,000 for causes that matter deeply to me: supporting disadvantaged young people, tackling homelessness, and providing crucial mental health resources. I’ve walked those miles because I know what it’s like to lose everything and feel like there’s no way back. But with support, I rebuilt my life, and now I’m driven to help others do the same.

This musical isn’t just about my journey, it’s about what we can achieve together. Liverpool has always been at the heart of my journey. It’s the city that supported me when I needed it most, inspired me to give back and is even the most generous city in the UK on GoFundMe.
