Please help us finish the handicap accessible playground at Veterans Park so ALL kids can play!

Our younger son, Jack is 12 years old has red hair, loves music, football, is very social, his favorite color is orange and his favorite animal is a deer.


Just like you, he has strengths and weaknesses.


His strengths are making us laugh when he lip syncs, accepting everyone he meets, bringing people together, and he is very much in tune with people’s feelings.


He has struggled with many weaknesses too.  Many things that come easily to most kids - eating, breathing, crawling, walking, and talking - did not come easily for him. Jack has worked very hard to learn how to do many of these things, yet some are still a struggle. 


These struggles mean that many playgrounds are partially inaccessible to Jack,  and we want to change this, not only for Jack, but for all kids. 


All kids should be able to play with friends and family regardless of their abilities!  We are lucky to have the beginnings of a handicap accessible playground started by the Watertown Rotary Club at Veterans Park in Watertown, and now we need to finish it.  Please support phase 1 of fundraising here at Go Fund Me.


Through a partnership with the Watertown Rotary Club, a local nonprofit organization that works to make a difference in the lives of the towns’ citizens,  Jumping Jack Playground - Where All Kids Can Play, will enrich the lives of children with special needs and those without special needs as well.  


We would be so grateful for any donations that will help us move toward our goal.  The playground plan (see the attached photo) features the addition of 3 exciting pieces of inclusive equipment to be added including a friendship swing, a wheelchair accessible mini merry go round, and an inclusive zip line!  Be part of making an exciting, inclusive space where all kids can play together and nobody gets left out.
