Johns Hopkins Mammography across all imaging sites is coming together to raise money to benefit The Red Devils, Inc. The Red Devils' mission is to improve the quality of life for breast cancer patients and their families. The Red Devils fund support services that help patients enter or continue treatment throughout the state of Maryland.

Each year, nearly 200,000 people in America receive a life-altering breast cancer diagnosis. In Maryland, more than 4,900 families cope with that reality annually. Founded in 2002, The Red Devils is a 501 (c) (3) organization based in Baltimore whose mission is to fund services that improve the quality of life for breast cancer patients and their families.

Who Are We and What Do We Do?

Since 2002, The Red Devils has invested nearly $5 million to fund treatment support for more than 9,200 breast cancer families so that loved ones can enter or remain in treatment. We have partnerships with 31 hospitals or other facilities throughout Maryland. Their medical staff and social workers refer patients to our business partners, who provide a variety of treatment support services at no charge to the patients living or being treated in Maryland.

The Red Devils funds support three program areas that align with the most common barriers to breast cancer patient's treatment. Patients and their families can turn to us assist with the following:

Childcare and respite care

Medical Services and Treatment-Related Therapies:

Medical co-payments and insurance premiums

Medical equipment and prostheses

Welcome to Breastfest of Champions 2021!

 

 

The brothers of Kappa Alpha Order and sisters of Kappa Alpha Theta are proud to host our 13th Annual Breastfest of Champions, a philanthropy event supporting patients and families affected by breast cancer across the state of Maryland.

 

 

In previous years of the event, we had over 2,000 students and faculty attend alongside 30 sponsoring organizations and companies. The event includes food, prizes, live music, and a “Wall of Champions” where guests could write the names of loved ones who have been affected by breast cancer. Breastfest of Champions 2018 nearly raised $30,000 and we hope for even more this year. This year, Breastfest of Champions will take place on Saturday, October 16th at 1 Fraternity Row between 12-3 pm.

 

 

For the second year, all proceeds will benefit The Red Devils, a non-profit specifically operating in the state of Maryland. Their mission is broad: to support and improve the quality of life for breast cancer patients and their families – from direct care for patients to sponsoring transportation for families who otherwise are unable to see their loved ones.
