Casey and Zach for The Recreation Project (TRP)
Hi friends,
I mentioned last week that our marriage just turned 15 years old. (I’m still like WUUUUUTTT?)
Amazingly we also passed our 10 year anniversary of co-founding The Recreation Project in Gulu, Uganda (we lovingly refer to it as the RE-Creation Project or TRP). In addition we have spent exactly 7.5 years, or 50%, of our married life in Uganda and we wanted to do something special to honor that.
Even though we do not work for TRP anymore (Zach is on the Board and I volunteer) it is still at the heartbeat of why we remain. Living here and watching TRP grow has meant our imaginations for the future of both our little family and our greater world have expanded exponentially.
The spirit of TRP is to capture that broader imagination for equity, healing, and love and make it a reality for kids in a magical forest in northern Uganda. The team there is steadfast to the mission that young people thrive through outdoor adventure and transformative play and they (we) envision a world in which all women, men, girl and boys can play, create, and thrive no matter the circumstances.
After 10 years, TRP is still growing and dreaming! We are deeply proud of this. In honor of that we want to ask you to come along and do some co-creating with us and the team, to offer a little boost so staff can maintain their salaries and programming can begin again as soon as Covid restrictions are lifted.
We'd like you to consider a small donation to TRP and Zach and I will then match those gifts up to $1000 dollars. That means if only 100 of our friends give $10 each, we will meet our goal!
Would you join us?
