The Reboli Center for Art and History

Dear Friend,  

By the end of November, The Reboli Center will begin its 8th year of being a part of this fabulous community. Our mission has been to provide public access to the work of Joseph Reboli (1945-2004) and to provide artistic and historic programs for people of all ages, educating them about Joe's art and the relationship of his work to Long Island and beyond. As you may already know, The Reboli Center also presents the work of contemporary artists and artisans along with displaying rotating historic exhibitions that are rich with information about art history and our surrounding community. We are grateful to say that we have witnessed tremendous growth and owe much of it to all of you that have contributed to us and never stopped encouraging us along the way.

This year, former NYS Assemblyman Steve Englebright, secured a grant to help make imminently needed repairs on our beautiful, historic building that was built in 1911. This $150,000 grant would fix our leaky roof, aging electrical system, unreliable HVAC systems in addition to repairing our public restroom. All of these repairs and additions will make our building even more effective in serving our many visitors and would allow us to continue our mission that makes art publicly accessible. BUT there is a caveat... NYS requires that the grant awardee expend the money for the repairs and renovations before receiving reimbursement. What this means is that we have to pay for $150,000 worth of repairs before the state will award us the $150,000. Because of this stipulation, we are calling on our friends and family to help us raise the necessary funds that will enable us to begin these repairs! Both your contributions and the grant funds are needed to complete these projects to save our beautiful, historic structure. The Reboli Center is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, public charity. All contributions are tax deductible. We would love your help. We need your help. Your contributions will help us continue to be a special facet of this vibrant community.
