Hi, I’m Magaly Magana — and animals have always had a special place in my heart, especially rescue dogs.

In honor of my pup Remo, I’m raising funds to support local LA rescues that provide food, vet care, and second chances to abandoned or mistreated pets. Many of these shelters are underfunded and overwhelmed — but together, we can help them save lives. Every dollar you give goes directly toward helping animals in need. THAT’S RIGHT! 10 YEARS ALREADY OF ROUND THE CLOCK RESCUE AS TRB…

We have been honored to be ABOUT IT for even longer. THOUSANDS of Dogs, some Cats, and lotsa others Served, Rescued, Rehabbed, and thoughtfully placed into Loving Adoptive Homes. WHY, you might ask?

Because it feels right to Do Something when faced with bursting shelters, constant abandonment to the streets, and brutal daily need. So we call upon the skills we have to make the difference between Life and unnecessary Death: Countless brave souled - and innocent - animals who endured unbelievable cruelty, or neglect, via human failure, that want nothing more than to LIVE and find Joy.

WE STARTED as 3 very diverse people with years of prior Rescue Work in common, and quickly built a Team of Inspirational, Dedicated, Gem Humans, who understood the assignment…and have kept each other lifted for years. Humbly and Thankfully our group is united by Integrity - and summoned by Mission.

FULL CANDOR and sadly: The NEED for Rescue is worse out there NOW than it has ever been. And because of skyrocketing costs in vetting, and our ability to do harder cases and street rescue - and just meet the moment - we struggle because of financial challenge. Hence this plea for donation that allows for more Life Saving into the New Year.

Do we ever feel easy about requesting annual donations to cover essential costs + keep going? Well…no, friend. We do not.

But as we are literally at a crossroads of Crisis & Cost… We are here before you - pleading - for Donation for the many vulnerable, that await our HELP.

We are a working people’s 501c3 non-profit, and every penny goes to the animals. We do not take salaries. We do not seek status. We are You… and offer up our Hearts & Abilities to Save Lives. It’s that simple… and that complicated.

Perhaps you are able to Help with any amount, and THANK YOU. Know that you are joining a movement born of Love:

Love of Animals. Love of Healing. Love of undoing Heartache. Love of Community Organizing to make life Joy-Filled again for multitudes of Rescues AND the people that Adopt them.

UPDATE 1/12/25: Because of the DEVASTATING WILDFIRES here in Los Angeles, our annual fundraiser has now become Aid for the Dogs, Cats & Wildlife that have been tragically displaced, Outreach, and providing food and supplies to those in NEED. Your donations, friends, go in to a CommUNITY Fund that is actively assisting.

12/27/24:

It has been quite the YEAR…and yet, we are still HERE. As are too many Dogs, Cats, and others caught in the Shelter system, and on the streets here in LA.

We have had stunning SAVES this year, so many BRILLIANT Rescues & Adoptions, and more than our share of sadness. Which, frankly, is the world right now….and our help is NEEDED - as Rescuers - to Keep Going.

SO, Faced with the enormity of the year ahead for animals in LA and surrounding…Seeing a spike in abandoned animals because of housing issues…Despite the constant increased cost of vetting…Despite the Overwhelm and the option to hide…and In Spite all of our personal mountains and one of us still in Recovery from Brain Surgery:

WE ARE RE-UPPING our COMMITMENT to making a difference in 2025!

Which, happens to mark our TENTH YEAR as The REAL Bark, with many of us Teaming together for YEARS prior for epic Rescuing. Our Eclectic Team stands UNITED to continue to be a Thoughtful, Ethical, Legit Rescue that is not afraid of challenge. The elder, the weakest, the left behind, the abused, and the forgotten have our Hearts + Focus.

PLEASE CONSIDER a MUCH NEEDED Year End Donation of Any Size - that will Keep TRB doing what it does best.

Support coming at the end of ‘24 qualifies you for a tax write-off for this year, and we will keep the GoFundMe going into January. Because the NEED NEVER STOPS…so Neither Will We.

We are - ALL of us - impacted by the state of our Collective world - DAILY….yet we cannot stop helping in the area we are trained:

And Repeat.

We SEE the difference THEY make in your Lives. One lost soul - FOUND - Inspires an Adopter’s entire Heart & World. So imagine Hundreds, then the Thousands, that we have had the HONOR to Heal & Home…and you know why we are HERE.
