The Rainbow Connection

At the 2nd Annual Roedhouse Open, we raised over $3,300 for The Rainbow Connection. And not just a general donation, but in honor of Corey, we specifically raised money for Amariah and her family, a local family who have also been affected by heart disease.

Amariah is 4 years old and was diagnosed with a heart condition. She has received treatment at Children’s Hospital in Detroit. Her first surgery took place when she was a baby and she has had many visits back to the hospital since.

Amariah's wish is to go to Disneyworld to meet all of her favorite Disney characters, and gosh darnitall, we're determined to make that happen. It's what Corey would've done. Heck, he'd fly them there first class. The cost of the trip is $5,000, and we're over 2/3 of the way there. So as we begin the holiday giving season, we humbly ask that you help us make Amariah's wish come true.

For roughly a decade, the Brothers of Psi Upsilon at MSU have proudly supported The Rainbow Connection, a Michigan-based nonprofit that makes wishes come true for local children with life-threatening medical conditions. This October, we are once again asking for your help in supporting this wonderful annual tradition of ours.

This year, we’ll be sponsoring nine-year-old Shaden (pictured above), a fellow Lansing area native recently diagnosed with cancer. With our assistance, he hopes to go to Universal Studios and Disney World in January 2023. Shaden is especially excited to visit all the attractions at Jurassic Park and to watch the fireworks show with his loved ones in Orlando’s Magic Kingdom.

Shaden is an absolute champion who deserves a stress-free break from all the hospital visits and medical procedures. Let’s help make this dream a reality for our Lansing neighbor!

This October, we are once again asking for your help in supporting this outstanding annual tradition of ours.

 

 

This year, we’ll be sponsoring two-year-old Scarlett (above), a fellow East Lansing native who was recently diagnosed with a serious heart condition. She hopes to go to Disney World next month, and Scarlett is especially excited to meet all her favorite Disney princesses and “eat ice cream for breakfast everyday.” She also plans to stay at the Give Kids The World Village, a fantastic nonprofit resort just outside of the amusement park grounds which has provided week-long cost-free vacations for almost 200,000 critically ill children from all over the globe.

 

Scarlett is an absolute sweetheart and is more than deserving of a stress-free break from all the hospital visits and medical procedures. Let’s help make this dream a reality for our neighbor in EL!
