The Promise is a community-driven organization founded in 2022 by husband and wife, Michael Harrison and Diana Pedraza Harrison. Their heart-set stems from their own experiences with youth homelessness and an earnest desire to offer transformative, community-based care to individuals experiencing homelessness.
Our vision is rooted in fostering relationships and cultivating meaningful connections through person-centered care. We are committed to our responsibility to impact through service, advocacy, and policy reform aimed at delivering immediate and sustainable support.
Our mission is to reduce chronic homelessness by promoting social responsibility initiatives, restorative healing and self-emancipative practices, and radical hospitality through community engagement, essential care services, and pop-up care villages every Sunday, affectionately referred to as Sunday Service.
The Promise enhances water accessibility, mitigates food insecurities, supports identity restoration, provides mental health resources, and offers transitional housing support.
