Mission

Parent Project Muscular Dystrophy (PPMD) fights to end Duchenne and Becker. We accelerate research, raise our voices to impact policy, demand optimal care for every single family, and strive to ensure access to approved therapies. Through our initiatives, we listen to our community’s needs and address gaps in the field so everyone diagnosed can live stronger lives. For more than 30 years, we’ve played a key role in many significant victories for the Duchenne and Becker community, including securing millions of dollars in funding for research and clinical trials and winning eight FDA approvals. Today’s cutting-edge therapies are possible because of PPMD’s dedication and tireless work.
