The Newman Idea

I'm raising money for The Newman Idea, and have been given a $10,000 gift that we hope to match dollar for dollar.  Thanks in advance for your contribution to this cause that means so much to me.

The Newman Idea was developed to help Catholic-Christian students understand their faith integrated to their academic studies.  Our mission is to offer for-credit courses in the Catholic-Christian tradition to public university students.   To accomplish this, we are currently IKON Institutes (Integrated Knowledge Open to Newman).  These institutes will compliment Catholic Student Centers at public universities, integrating students’ faith with the knowledge needed to pursue their passions.

This new year, we invite you to give to the Newman Idea:  www.newmanidea.org.  We are inspired to create IKON Institutes by following Bl. Newman’s motto: “heart speaks to heart” (cor ad cor loquitor).  To speak or think with one’s heart means integrating the depths of faith with intellectual knowledge to work in the world and to cultivate lasting relationships with friends, family, colleagues, and most importantly – with Christ!  All proceeds will go towards promoting and establishing IKON Institutes.
