Across our neighborhoods, families, and communities, there are survivors carrying invisible wounds—people who have experienced the pain of sexual trauma, domestic violence, and human trafficking. Their stories often go unheard. Their healing journeys are rarely supported. And their pain is frequently dismissed or hidden in silence.
We are here to change that.
The Mended Soul Project is a newly launched 501(c)(3) nonprofit based in Southfield, Michigan, with a clear mission: to offer survivors the healing, advocacy, and support they need—and to empower communities with the tools to prevent trauma before it begins.
The Crisis We’re Confronting
Behind closed doors and beneath the surface of “normal life,” trauma persists:
1 in 3 women and 1 in 4 men have experienced physical violence by an intimate partner.
Every 73 seconds, someone in America is sexually assaulted.
An estimated 24.9 million people globally are trapped in human trafficking.
The long-term effects include PTSD, depression, anxiety, addiction, and often, suicidal ideation.
And far too many suffer alone—without access to healing resources, without safe spaces to speak their truth, and without hope for a different tomorrow.
Why The Mended Soul Project Exists
We believe healing is sacred work.
It’s not about quick fixes or surface-level support. True healing demands compassion, a safe community, trauma-informed care, and long-term commitment. At The Mended Soul Project, we walk alongside survivors, offering the support they’ve long deserved but rarely received.
We provide:
- Safe spaces free from judgment or shame
- Programs that support emotional, mental, and spiritual healing
- Community education to break cycles of silence and stigma
- Connections to trusted resources for lasting recovery
Our approach is rooted in love, lived experience, and the belief that no one is beyond restoration.

This milestone birthday celebration is also our official "coming out"—our moment to shine a bold light on the dark realities survivors face and rally our community around healing and justice.
It’s not just a party. It’s a powerful gathering filled with:
Testimonies from survivors who have found their voice
Inspiring performances that uplift and affirm
Calls to action that unite us in advocacy and awareness
All proceeds go toward funding life-changing programs, outreach, and trauma-informed care.
What We’re Raising & Why
Our Goal: $20,000
Your generous donation helps us:
- Cover event costs (venue, materials, transport, security)
- Launch trauma support groups and 1:1 coaching for survivors
- Provide prevention education for families and communities
- Create resource pathways for survivors to access ongoing care
- Lay the foundation for a long-term healing hub in Michigan
This isn’t a one-time effort. It’s the first step in building a movement of compassion, empowerment, and restoration.
What Your Support Means
When you give, you're not just donating money—you’re giving someone:
A safe space to cry, scream, or simply be
A hand to hold on the long road to healing
A voice after years of silence
A community that believes them and believes in them
Your support brings hope to someone who may have lost it long ago.
✨ Give With Purpose | Impact With Love
While GoFundMe doesn’t offer reward tiers, we believe in honoring your support.
If you'd like to sponsor a survivor’s full participation in future programming or become a corporate partner, please don't hesitate to contact us we’d love to walk with you.
From Our Founder:
“I started this because I am this. I know what it means to survive. I know what it means to be silenced. But more importantly—I know what it means to rise. And now, I want to help others rise too.”
️ Let’s Rewrite the Narrative—Together
We can’t undo the trauma, but we can help change what happens next. With your help, we can create a future where survivors are no longer isolated but embraced. No longer silenced, but heard. No longer broken, but mended.
Please donate, share, and help us spread this mission far and wide. Survivors deserve to be seen, supported, and healed—and you can help make that possible.
Your generous support will help us reach our $20,000 goal by covering essential costs for the Jeans, Sneakers, and Justice fundraiser and launching our survivor support programs. This includes $5,800 for the event venue rental and setup, $3,000 for catering and food, $1,500 for audio/visual and lighting, and $1,000 for security. We’ve budgeted $700 for local speaker honorariums, $2,500 for marketing materials and licensing tools, $3,000 to launch support groups and trauma-informed coaching, $1,500 for prevention education workshops, and $1,000 for administrative and tech infrastructure. Every dollar you give helps create safe spaces, amplify survivor voices, and build long-term healing solutions.
