Help Make a Wish Come True!!!
It's time again for the annual Make-A-Wish wing eating contest sponsored by Dirty Birds and this will be my third year in a row.
All proceeds benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation of San Diego and we are looking to top last year's fundraising of just over $10,000. Every $5,000 grants a wish for a young child, so help us get to our goal of helping three kids this year.
In 2011, I came in 4th with 43 wings and raised around $900!
In 2012, I weak-sauced it a little bit and only got down 39 (apparently I was a bit fatter in 2011). Fortunately through all of your generous donations, I was still able to bring in about $1200.
For 2013, I'm attempting to bring in at least $1,500. This will also be the third year in a row going head to head with the defending champ Eddie you see above, and this will be the rubber match. Regardless of the (big) weight advantage, I'm determined to take him down this year.
Help me take down the defending champ and more importantly, let's all help bring a few extra smiles to kids with a little bad luck and help grant a few wishes.
