The Last Resort

We have some REALLY EXCITING news to share with you all!

After years of planning, we are on the verge of opening our 24-hour wildlife hospital, here at our center. Babies and injured adults are already pouring in and the season is just beginning.

Many wild patients arrive in critical condition, needing urgent, life-saving veterinary care for injuries from car accidents, wildfires, poisoning, animal attacks, or other tragic injuries. Access to emergency medical treatment is vital, as minutes can make all the difference. Most vets don't see wildlife, and those who do can often only do so after normal business hours, making it very challenging for most rehabbers to find immediate care in an emergency situation. We need to change that! For all NJ wildlife and our fellow rehabbers!! These animals deserve access to emergency medical care, round the clock, same as our pets do!

Currently, there is no such facility in North Jersey—until now! The Last Resort Wildlife Hospital will be equipped with X-rays, ultrasound, laboratory services, anesthesia, oxygen chamber, a surgical suite, neonatal ICU, and round-the-clock critical care provided by our team of skilled veterinarians and licensed veterinary professionals, who have a combined 80+ years of experience in emergency vet med. So many more lives will be saved once we have 24-hour access to this essential equipment, on-site! Our team has been tirelessly working on preparing the hospital building for over a year, and we're now just weeks away from being ready to finish the space, install equipment, and accept patients. However, we need to raise approximately $95,000 for the remaining essential equipment and supplies to fully equip the hospital and complete final repairs. We realize this is a HUGE ask, but when it comes to saving our wildlife, you guys, our amazing family of supporters, never disappoint. YOU have made it possible for us to do the impossible in the past!
