Mighty Docs Lung Fun Run
Do you love libations and hate lung disease?! Then join the Mighty Docs, as they run from Industry Brewing to Pour Bros, to raise awareness and money for LAM lung disease.
If you’ve never heard of LAM, you’re not alone.
Lymphangioleiomyomatosis, known as LAM for short, is an incredibly rare lung disease. The disease is characterized by an abnormal growth of smooth muscle cells, especially in the lungs, lymphatic system and kidneys. Unregulated growth of these cells can lead to loss of lung function, accumulation of lymph rich-fluid in the chest and abdomen, and growth of tumors in the kidney.
Like all great events, we’re going to kick things off with a little tailgating. The plan is to meet up in the OSF parking lot (across the street from Industry Brewing) at 4 pm. Enjoy some drinks and watch the Mighty Docs play a little street hockey. From there, we’ll head to Industry Brewing, and then eventually end the night at Pour Bros. Cheer on the Mighty Docs as they make their way to Pour Bros on foot!
