About Me

Hi everybody! My name is Trisha Jetley, and I am so excited to be running the 2025 Jersey City Half Marathon this April! I am currently a junior at The Pingry School, and a member of the Junior Board of KinderSmile Foundation’s Community Service Learning Program. This May, I will be participating in KinderSmile Foundation’s 18th Annual Global Outreach Trip to Uganda and Tanzania as a pre-dental volunteer. Our hope is to raise money for dental equipment, oral health kits (toothpaste, toothbrushes, and floss), and other helpful materials.

Why I’m Running for KinderSmile Foundation

KinderSmile Foundation has always been a big part of my life, and I have seen firsthand the great impact they have on our community. Their mission is to provide underserved children with “access to comprehensive dental care,” and “educate families on the importance of dental hygiene.” Today, KinderSmile Foundation has three Dental Homes in Bloomfield, Newark, and Trenton, and since its establishment in 2007, they have provided over $16 million of in-kind dental services and impacted thousands of low-income patients in New Jersey. I am honored to have the opportunity to volunteer at KinderSmile Foundation, and contribute to this incredible mission!

Every donation, no matter how big or small, will make a huge difference in the lives of thousands of underserved children and families.

On April 5th, 2024, Rutgers Dental School will face off against Rutgers Medical School at RWJ Barnabas Arena. This event is held annually where friends, students, family and alumni come together and support a great cause.

Since our first annual game, we have raised nearly $90,000 for various great causes including Hurricane Sandy victims, Pediatric Cancer family support/research, and the CINJ Patient Relief Fund.

This year we are partnering up with the KinderSmile Foundation. The KinderSmile Foundation is a nonprofit charity corporation that envisions a future where every child has access to a dentist and dental disease is eradicated. Their mission is to provide underserved children with access to comprehensive dental care and educate children and their families on the importance of dental hygiene.
