MARK DAYAN is fundraising
A MOST WORTHY CAUSE ESPECIALLY IN 2020
My name is Mark Dayan and for close to 10 years I have been the chairman of the yearly Queens NY breakfast that along with my Rabbi/Mentor Dr. (Rabbi)Eliyahou Hartman PHD. We raise yearly close to $300,000.00 for Jaffa Institute and specifically the Educational center in Bet Shemesh Israel.
I have been blessed to raise myself the last 3 years close to approximately $100,000.00 each of those years.
I now find myself with a little under 2 weeks till the end of the year and very little to show for it.
(PS: I have a business career, my involvement with Jaffa Institute is purely voluntary)
Rabbi Hartman also has to watch his health due to the Pandemic, and has limited physical contact with the people he usually visits to discuss the yearly Jaffa Institute Breakfast fundraiser.
It is without a doubt that this year 2020 is a tremendously difficult year for all the world; and especially the children at Jaffa Institute that benefit so greatly from the donations we raise.
I have personally visited the Educational center in Bet Shemesh and have seen first hand children that originate from impoverished backgrounds and their families that have seen often domestic abuse and violence.
The center takes them in and in the most high class way manages to show them unlimited love and caring, and give them back their self respect, while also highly educating them, setting them up to re join Israeli society and break the circle of poverty and abuse.
So this year we are reaching out to the entire world through this wonderful program "GoFundMe" and praying that you will see this and your heart will feel what we already know.

(The Jaffa Institute): The Institute for the Advancement of Education in Jaffa ("The Jaffa Institute") was established in 1982 as a private, non-profit, multi-service social agency to assist severely disadvantaged children and their families. Our mission is to provide educational, recreational and social enrichment programs to break the cycle of intergenerational poverty found in the communities of Jaffa, south Tel Aviv, and Bat Yam, and support each child's self esteem so that he/she can evolve into a healthy, educated and productive adult. Through over 30 different initiatives our programs reach 4,000 citizens annually. In 2001, the Institute was awarded the Presidents Prize for Most Outstanding Voluntary Organization and our sister organization, the Bet Shemesh Educational Center, has twice won the Ministry of Education's top prize for academic excellence.
