Memorial For Nina Grunseth

Nina was a valuable and much-loved member of the Ruidoso, NM community. Nina’s achievements as president of and fundraiser for the Humane Society of Lincoln County will have a lasting impact on animal welfare in the region for decades to come. She also served on the board of the Ruidoso Valley Chamber of Commerce, earning “Volunteer of the Year” in 2016 and the Ruidoso Valley Greeters “Champion of Service” in 2017. She was a fierce advocate for equality, human rights and animal welfare. But the roles she coveted most were wife to Jobe and Mom to many lucky pets over many years. A memorial dedication is planned at the future Memorial Park located adjacent to the James Cook Animal Shelter and Adoption Center in Ruidoso, a brand new animal shelter that Nina was instrumental in securing funding for.
