The Homeless Alliance, Inc.

Every day, an average of 350 people visit Oklahoma City's only general-use day shelter for the homeless. The Homeless Alliance  depends on donations from individuals and organizations to provide shelter and services to our neighbors. These services include a daily hot breakfast and lunch, access to showers and basic hygiene items, access to computers, AA and NA meetings, and much more.

Most importantly, the day shelter serves as a front door for OKC's homeless to access case workers from local government agencies, faith-based organizations and non-profit groups. 
 
It costs approximately $3,000 per day to operate the Day Shelter. $3,000 per day covers staffing needs, food and drinks, utilities, cleaning and maintenance of the facility. 
 
After years of donating winter gear, bottled water and cash to the Homeless Alliance, Yelp Oklahoma City  is ready to donate in a big way: We're planning on raising $3,000 to keep the Day Shelter running for one day. 
 
In addition, on Saturday, August 25, Yelp Oklahoma City will bring friends and family to host a work day at the Homeless Alliance, putting together Welcome Home kits for the newly housed, as well as performing maintenance and other special projects around the day shelter.

As I celebrate my graduation, I want to honor this milestone by making a positive impact in my community. Instead of gifts or parties, I’m asking for donations to support The Homeless Alliance, Inc., an organization dedicated to ending homelessness in Oklahoma City.
