OBITUARY
Joshua Michael Wirth
December 19, 1990 – December 5, 2023
Josh graduated from Louisville Male High School in 2009 and showed off his intelligence through unique and unorthodox ways. Like his 4 younger siblings, Josh grew up playing baseball in the Hikes Point recreational league at Des Pres Park.
Josh loved basketball and cheering for the Kentucky Wildcats. He enjoyed the hobbies of collecting baseball cards and listening to his favorite genre of music, hip-hop and rap. Throughout his life, Josh developed an extensive resume, loaded with skills obtained while working for countless company’s. You could name just about any place in Louisville, odds are Josh was an employee there at some point.
Josh battled with addiction and mental illness all of his adult life. The Healing Place in Louisville, KY seemed to have worked their miracles as Josh maintained sobriety for a year, but on December 5th, 2023, he ultimately lost his fight.
The sadness and pain is tremendous, but the family finds peace knowing Josh has been freed from the untold sorrows he immensely fought. Josh loved intensely, but because of his struggles, was often unable to convey his feelings.
Addiction and mental illness are embedded into every foundation of families in the United States. So in lieu of flowers, Josh’s family is asking you to make a donation to The Healing Place at www.gofundme.com/joshua-michael-wirth
Left to cherish Josh’s memories are: Parents; Donna (60) and Charles Wirth (61); Sisters, Tiffany (36), Rachel (26), and Morgan Wirth (22); Brothers, Alex (30) and Cory Wirth (25); Love of his Life, Megan Kozlowski (31); and Josh’s Angel, Daughter, Sophia Elizabeth Wirth (2)
