Dear Friends, Family, and Community,
I am reaching out on behalf of my 12th-grade English students with a mission to make a difference in our community! As part of our senior project, we are aiming to raise funds to cook and serve a nutritious lunch for the incredible individuals at The Gathering Place, a local homeless drop-in center that provides support, warmth, and essential services to women, children, and the LGBTQ+ community of the Denver metro area.
Our goal is to create a meaningful experience for both our class and the individuals we serve. By providing a homemade meal, we hope to offer a sense of comfort, dignity, and connection to people who often face difficult circumstances. We are learning not just about literature, but also about empathy, service, and community action, and we need your help to make this project a reality.
What We Need: Financial contributions. Students will pick the menu and then prepare the ingredients to create culinary perfection!
