COVID-19 Relief Fundraising Project
My vision started with this original video (LINK) that I created along with the support of my sister, a violinist, and my cousin, a visual artist. Our goal is to give our heartfelt appreciation to the medical personnel who are risking their lives on a daily basis, as well as to give encouragement to those whose lives have been affected by the virus. Although the self-quarantine ordinances have limited physical interactions with others, virtual technology allows us to come together to give our support and show our gratitude. This video has also been shared in hospitals and around the world, thanks to organizations such as:
- Northwell Healthcare System (New York)
- USA Fencing Association (USFA)
- American Youth Philharmonic Orchestra (AYPO)
- ShareAmerica.gov
With such support, I would like to take this project one step further and kick off fundraising initiative to financially support those in need. I have chosen the Community Foundation for Northern Virginia, specifically its COVID-19 Response Fund (LINK) because I want to make a more immediate on this wonderful community where we live.
100% of the donation from this GoFundMe effort will benefit the COVID-19 Response Fund at the Community Foundation for Northern Virginia which provides grants to local nonprofits such as:
- Arlington Free Clinic
- Doorways for Women and Families
- Dulles South Food Pantry
- Fairfax Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA)
- Loudoun Free Clinic
- YMCA of Metro Washington
- Youth for Tomorrow
I'm hoping that you will join me in this spirit of extending a helping hand. The COVID-19 outbreak has been life altering for everyone, but it has been an especially significant hurdle for those who were struggling prior to this. Let's take this opportunity to do our part. We can all use a moment to remember those who are less fortunate.
Any amount donated to this effort goes a long way in providing relief to our community. Together, we can keep our nation healthy and safe no matter how takes.
Thank you very much! Please stay strong and healthy!
