About The Children's Greenhouse
The Children's Greenhouse was established in 1979 to support Nassau Community College Students, faculty and administrators. The center is licensed by the New York State Office of Children and Family Services and provides outstanding, yet reasonably priced, childcare to allow parents to continue their education or employment knowing that their children are in a safe and nurturing environment. We work in tandem with the mission of the college which is to provide affordable and accessible high quality education and career preparation to residents of Long Island and beyond. The majority of the children who participate in our program are children whose parents are students, many of whom are young, single parents. These parents would be unable to pursue an education and would be unable to become working members of our community, without the services of the child care center. The Children's Greenhouse is an exemplary program that has an outstanding reputation for providing quality child care to over 200 families each year. We strive to provide the best and safest environment for the children.
