Please help us save our Rescue
How do I start? We took in a beautiful Golden Retriever from a breeder at 2 years old. We were told she already had 2 litters. Well she was pregnant with her 3 rd litter! That means she started having puppies at 8-9 months. This poor baby was going to have her last. She had 12 beautiful puppies although at 10 days one was ill. We took him to the vet and he was diagnosed with fading puppy syndrome, we were offered to euthanize but I couldn't. We took him home and began bottle feeding every 2 hours. After the $1000 diagnosis
At 6 weeks we were confident he was going to live and when to get Health Certificates and their first vaccines. We found out he was blind. That was ok
At 7 weeks our beautiful girl lavender became ill? We rushed her to Companion Animal Hospital in Crystal Lake Illinois only to find out it was strong parvo test. Parvo? We had never seen that. We gave them $4643.41 they gave her days of treatment discussed euthanasia. Gave plasma.
Then the bottom fell out, all the beautiful golden babies were all positive. Our vet gave us care instructions and medications to treat at home. We took a total of 5 to the hospital at over $30,000 only 1 lived. Even my blind boy died and he was under observation without symptoms at a clinicin Barrington Illinois.
For the other 7 we lost 3.
Our home turned into a medical ward. IV fluids, medications syringe feedings no sleep. Watching the pain they were in as we struggled with blood coming out both ends. We were doing everything we could
These are only some of the bills. We just finished our first year as a rescue. These are only some of our bills as a result. Yes one bill is $10,028.87!
The vet through these days has said this is the strongest case of parvo he has seen in his career. My husband drove 150 miles to get plasma from one hospital to bring it to the other.
We have exhausted our account our minds our supplies our clothes, towels. Our beautiful babies that are continuing to fight we have gone over our estimates.
Please help replenish our account to save more dogs and sterilize our rescue.
Parvo is no joke, the contamination aspect lives on. In the meantime we still have our insurance, transport vehicle, storage locker fees and vet bills for other dogs. Please vaccinate your animals. This is truly heartbreaking. Please share. We also have zelle, paypal and venmo that will get to us faster at [email redacted] or #630-732-7296 only. There are a bunch of scams that will throw a paypal address up these are the only ones associated with us.
As I said we are very small. We ourselves live in a 988 sq ft house with 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom.
When you think an adoption fee is too high, this is the reason. We don't have county funds like shelters. We don't fundraise.... this is my best shot at helping them. All accounts can be confirmed at WVRC in Somers WI, Companion Animal Medical Center in Crystal Lake, Golf Rose Animal Hospital in Schaumburg, Animal Care Center in Barrington Illinois the hospitals can only handle so many icu cases and that's why the 5 were divided up. We had 7 here under vet care from Dr. Donna 4 Paws in Libertyville Illinois.
