Help Canton Glow Again! Relight History & Harreld Chevrolet!
In 10 years, Canton will turn 200! To kick off the countdown to our bicentennial, please donate to help refurbish the iconic Harreld Chevrolet Company sign located on Highway 51. Let’s make the “City of Lights” truly shine!
A historical magnolia marker is also being pursued through the Mississippi Department of Archives and History.
Donations are tax deductible and are being managed by the Canton-Madison County Historical Society.
This 100+-day fundraiser began on Saturday June 28th, 2025 and will conclude on National "Make a Difference Day", Saturday, October 25, 2025!

If none of the monetary tiers are met during this fundraiser, all moneys raised will remain with the Canton-Madison County Historical Society and be put fully toward other restoration projects in the city of Canton, Mississippi.
An initial donation of $4,400.00 was made to have the Harreld Chevrolet Company Sign completely surveyed in March 2025. The survey was completed by Magic City Signs of Birmingham, Alabama.
Magic City Signs will be commissioned to refurbish the sign provided the fundraiser’s monetary goal is reached.
