More Beds, More Food for The Food Insecure
You can make a difference by donating today to The Bounty Garden Foundation. The Bounty Garden Foundation is a 501(c)(3)organization that was formed as a California Non-Profit Public Benefit Corporation for the purpose of providing a source of fresh organic produce to the local Food Banks of Contra Costa County in California. Our primary asset, the Bounty Garden, is located in Danville, California. The Bounty Garden brings together volunteers of all ages who learn about sustainable, organic gardening while becoming a part of the answer to food insecurity in our community.
The Bounty Garden produced its first crops in 2013. Over the last nine years, the Bounty Garden has provided over 22,000 pounds of organic produce to local food banks. There are currently 32 raised beds in the Bounty Garden. We are fortunate to have a current opportunity to expand the Bounty Garden at its current location. Our expansion plan includes the construction of eleven additional raised beds and a pollinator garden. If sufficient funds can be raised, we are on course to begin construction this spring and to have the beds delivering produce this summer.
