The Senior Pet Sanctuary Project
The Barn on Baseline Senior Pet Sanctuary Project, in partnership with The Barn on Baseline Animal Shelter and Adoption Center located in Genoa, IL is excited to share that we are building a new 5000 sq ft state of the art building for The Senior Pet Sanctuary Project.
This project will provide upscale, luxury boarding for healthy, senior pets who are in need of long-term care. Helping seniors, both human AND pet!
It will allow senior citizens, who are forced from their home due to downsizing or illness, know with certainty that their pet is safe and loved. It will help our deployed military personnel, giving them peace of mind that their pets will be socialized and taken care of while they're away serving our country. Or even a person who is in rehab after an injury who is unable to walk and care for their pet.
This will be a safe place for senior pets to live out their lives and be cared for. Your pet will always be yours, and this is a way to protect their lives in case of an emergency. We will provide both short and long-term care for healthy, senior cats and dogs.
We are raising money for Stage 1 of the project: Site Development. We are planning to begin site development in the Spring of 2016. This new building will be built on the three acre parcel behind our current Animal Shelter.
