The Arc of Story County

As many of you know, our adorable, sweet son, Jack William, was born last year and tragically passed away at four days old due to a heart condition associated with a rare genetic condition called Williams Syndrome.

In honor of Jack's first birthday, we are raising money to benefit The Arc of Story County, and any donation will help make an impact.

In the aftermath of our son's death, Kevin and I began volunteering with The Arc of Story County, a chapter of The Arc of Iowa and a non-profit organization that supports individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families in Story County. They provide so much to this population, including a variety of sports programs that culminate with Special Olympics competitions, community events, support for parents, and job training programs.

We do not get to know much about who Jack would be, but we know that he would have benefited from these programs. Our lives have been enriched by having the opportunity to work with this organization and the people they serve. We consider this a gift from Jack.
