The Animal Pad

I'm raising money to help my foster puppy, Forrest, get the medical attention he needs! This fundraiser will benefit The Animal Pad, and any donation will help make an impact. Thanks in advance for your contribution to this cause that means so much to me. Read more below:

A Great Dane breeder was planning on bringing Forrest to a vet in Tijuana to be euthanized because his legs weren’t like the other puppies’. A good and caring person intercepted the puppy from the breeder and brought him to a vet to see what she could do for him. The vet said that nothing could be done in Mexico, as she didn’t know a specialist or surgeon who would have the experience to help. When it was starting to look like euthanasia was again in his future, this vet reached out to her daughter, who then reached out to our team at the The Animal Pad. We decided that after escaping euthanasia twice, this puppy would be unstoppable.

Since arriving in San Diego in early June, Forrest has been in a foster home (with me, LB!) and has been getting tons of TLC and enjoying life as a very loved puppy. Although he is still at the beginning of his journey, he has already won quite a few of you over as pretty big fans. The next chapter in his book will include a trip to Oregon to see some amazing surgical specialists and will also include some pretty hefty medical bills but we are determined not to let anything stand in his way. Please share his story far and wide and donate if you can. Every little bit helps and we will be sure to keep you all updated along the way. And by the very end of this thing, Forrest will probably be your hero.

The Animal Pad is an all breed, Non-Profit Dog rescue based out of San Diego, CA. We are a foster based organization and we rescue dogs primarily off the streets of Mexico as well as Local shelters and owner surrenders. We are 100% Donation and Volunteer based so every cent of every donation goes directly to the care of our dogs.
