THE AIR AMBULANCE NORTHERN IRELAND

In 2024, we tragically lost my cousin Jamie (Jay) Marks following a car accident. Jay was the funniest, kindest person you could ever meet — he brought laughter, warmth, and light into every room and is deeply missed by everyone who knew and loved him.

On 6th June, around what would have been Jay’s 21st birthday, Aleisha and I will be taking a huge leap out of our comfort zone and skydiving in his memory. This jump is our way of honouring Jay, celebrating his life, and turning something incredibly scary into something meaningful.

We are raising money for the Air Ambulance, an incredible charity who show unwavering dedication and care. Their work saves lives when every second counts.

We both aim to raise £379 each and it would be greatly appreciated if you’re able to donate or share, it would mean the world. Thank you for helping us keep Jay’s memory alive.

Sunday June 7th 2026, myself and some of the team Slims Healthy Kitchen will be taking on the Mourne Mountains 7 Peaks Challenge. It’s a demanding 14–15 hour trek, and we’ll be doing it in support of the Northern Ireland Air Ambulance.

For those who may not know, my dad suffered a near-fatal heart attack while out cycling in March 2023. He spent weeks in a coma in ICU and, quite simply, would not be here today without the quick actions of members of the public, the incredible staff at Belfast RVH, and the doctors and crew of the Northern Ireland Air Ambulance, an organisation that relies heavily on public fundraising and to whom our family owes everything.

This challenge is about health, commitment, and giving something back.

Your donation goes directly to the costs of run the helicopter service, That might be fuel, a flight suit, specialist hangar equipment, a flight helmet or any one of a huge range of costs that we the Air ambulance has to fund.

On Saturday 25th April 2026, I will be running the 5K Air Ambulance Runway Run at Derry Airport alongside my partner to raise money for the incredible Air Ambulance NI.

Air Ambulance NI provides advanced critical care across Northern Ireland through the Helicopter Emergency Medical Service (HEMS), delivered in partnership with the Northern Ireland Ambulance Service.

Many people don’t realise that AANI is a charity. It receives no government funding for its day-to-day operations and relies entirely on the generosity of the public and local businesses to keep operating. They work 365 days a year and every single day it costs £8,200 to run.

We are incredibly proud to be running in support of this amazing charity. Any donation, big or small, would mean so much and will go directly towards keeping the medical team responding when people need them most. If you can’t donate, sharing this page would mean the world to us.

We’re raising money for the Air Ambulance as our amazing colleague Grace Green takes on a skydive to support this lifesaving charity.

The Air Ambulance plays a vital role in providing rapid emergency care when it matters most, reaching people quickly and delivering critical treatment that saves lives every single day.

Grace has bravely volunteered to jump out of a plane (yes, really ) to help raise funds and awareness for the incredible work the Air Ambulance team does. On the 6th June 2026 I will be heading down to Skydive Ireland to jump 15,000ft for charity. The chosen Charity is AANI (Air Ambulance Northern Ireland) as you will never know when you or someone you may know will need them and their critical skills. 1st Moira Rainbows will be off to the pantomime (oh yes they will!) for our Christmas treat this year. We don't charge for this event but this year we're asking if parents would like to donate a few pounds to the NI Air Ambulance in lieu

Each day costs it costs £6,850 and £2.5m is needed each year to keep our air ambulance service operational. The AANI rely entirely on support from the public and local businesses, including Gifts in Wills.

Hi, my name is Chloe and I have 2 beautiful children Penny & Charlie. We live in a remote area, and between my husband and I we work in the farming and medical fields, therefore the Air Ambulance is a charity incredibly close to our heart.

Over the month of July, the 3 of us plan to walk/run 5k every day. I know to some this may not seem a lot, but being 5 months post partum and with 2 children along for the ride it seems just about manageable!

The world can feel so heavy currently, both local and further afield. I hope by doing this I can show my children that small acts matter, and we can raise some funds for the incredibly charity that is the Air Ambulance NI.

We are going to dive right out of our comfort zones and fly high!

All donations will be split 50/50 between The Air Ambulance Northern Ireland & Friends of the Cancer Centre. All skydiving costs will be paid for in advance by Matthew & Victoria.
