The people of Lebanon need our help after the devastating explosions that killed over 220 people, wounded thousands, and crippled their health care system. I am working with the  The Afya Foundation of America to collect medical supplies to send to Lebanon which they desperately need.  Any donation will help make an impact. Help Provide PPE to NYC’s Frontline Healthcare Workers

As an essential business headquartered in Brooklyn, all of us at Mini-Circuits are seeing the devastating effects of the COVID-19 pandemic here in New York and around the world. As we do our part to keep the supply chain strong for critical infrastructure, products and services, we’re inspired by the courage and selflessness of our own frontline workers who show up every day to keep the company strong and get the job done. We’re taking every possible step to keep them, their families and the community safe, but we also know that this is bigger than us. We know that to overcome this extraordinary challenge, we have to work together and support each other in extraordinary ways. That’s why we’re extending our efforts further with the Mini-Circuits COVID-19 relief fund to help healthcare workers stay safe while they care for the sick in the city we call home.

New York has fast become the global epicenter of the COVID-19 pandemic with the highest concentration of confirmed cases in NYC, the boroughs and neighboring counties. Medical facilities are overwhelmed, and lives are being lost because of critical shortages of beds, staff and equipment. Meanwhile the brave men and women caring for patients with the illness are working without an adequate supply of the Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) they need to safely do what they do best: save lives.

To support ongoing efforts to deliver PPE to healthcare facilities in the NYC area, Mini-Circuits is proud to raise funds for the AFYA Foundation of America. Mini-Circuits will also match the amount raised by this fundraiser. Based in nearby Yonkers, NY, the AFYA Foundation is doing remarkable work to mobilize and deliver vital supplies to our heroes in hospitals and health centers during this crisis. AFYA has delivered over 139,000 masks to healthcare workers at over 100 healthcare facilities to date, but there’s still a long way to go. The foundation needs $125,000 to protect 5,000 healthcare heroes, but a donation of just $25 is enough to procure masks, gloves and gowns for one worker.

Hi! I'm Simran Sharma and the goal of the Stick to Raise initiative is to raise money and awareness to help the lack of masks and critical medical supplies for healthcare workers. All funds from this fundraiser will go directly to the Afya Foundation , a charity which is donating essential Personal Protection Equipment to healthcare workers in the greater New York Area.

While most of us are safe at home amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, many brave doctors, nurses, and healthcare professionals are working day in and day out to stop the spread of this virus and save as many lives as they can. However, in their noble pursuit, many of these health workers are risking their own lives, particularly due to the lack of PPE, such as N95 masks. This shortage of medical equipment is a crisis, as it is leaving those who protect us vulnerable.

Why Stick to Raise?  Apart from this gofundme, I have a redbubble shop with personally-designed stickers to raise awareness of the current situation. I am also more than happy to do my best at creating custom stickers as per request. All profits from stickers purchased from the redbubble shop will go to local hospitals in the Monmouth County area. By purchasing a sticker, you are raising money to help local heroes who have dedicated their lives to give us care. 

This pandemic has been a troubling time for all of us, and I hope that this initiative can help to bring pressing issues to light. HELP US MOVE 22 TRUCKLOADS OF WATER FROM NYC TO FLINT, MICHIGAN

A few days ago, AFYA Foundation received an extraordinary donation of 500 pallets of water.

And now, we need your help to financially support the packing and transport of 22 tractor trailers from NYC to Flint, Michigan.

On 4/7, CNN reported that Flint Michigan was ending its free water bottle distribution program and residents are terrified. Lead testing remains high and the need for support is dire. (https://www.cnn.com/…/flint-michigan-water-bottl…/index.html)

When we were offered this amazing donation, Felicia, one of the new Afya team members, called churches in Flint that had previously served as distribution centers for water. When she called the first church, the woman who answered assumed Felicia was requesting water. She could not have been more lovely or apologetic…saying “I am so sorry, we are out of water, we no longer have any, I wish I could help you”…Felicia responded “No, I am calling to offer you water, our foundation has received 30,000 cases of boxed water-we are looking for partners where we can gift this water…..partners who are capable of distributing a lot of water……..”

Woman in Flint: “How much water?”

Felicia: “22-25 Tractor Trailers worth”

Woman in Flint: (screams of joy) “Wait, Wait, Wait-Deacon Bill you have to come here right now, this woman has water for us”

Deacon Bill gets on the phone. Felicia repeats the story and there is a long pause.

Deacon Bill: (voice cracking and quivering) “Do you know what you are saying to me, do realize what you are telling me? …pause. WE WANT IT”

Afya has $265,000 worth of water ready to move and we need to raise $66,000 to make this happen.
