My journey begins in Mwanza, Tanzania walking with a beautiful and empowered stove mason named Elizabeth. Elizabeth and a team of women in Mwanza handcraft charcoal-efficient stoves and sell them at affordable prices to local families. The stoves not only provide income to impoverished women but also drastically reduce the life-threatening health risks from cooking over open fire.

All donations directly benefit The Adventure Project, a nonprofit that creates jobs in developing countries. Founded by two American women, Becky Straw and Jody Landers, The Adventure Project invests in entrepreneurial solutions that save lives. Since 2010, they have created 1,262 jobs to uplift people from poverty.
