Safe Haven Texas: Supporting Survivors of Domestic Violence

Our Mission: We aim to enhance future survivor safety by emphasizing risk factors and increasing shelter and housing for future survivors.

Maria's Story:

Maria, an undocumented mother, endured years of abuse, but her greatest fear was being separated from her children. Seeking safety, she entered a shelter, sacrificing her job and stability. Yet, despite her courage, systemic barriers and the constant threat of deportation led to devastating setbacks, including losing custody of her children. Maria’s story is a painful reminder of the struggles that many victims face alone. Your support can help build safe spaces for mothers like Maria, offering hope and a chance to rebuild their lives.

$50:

Provides two nights of safe shelter for a survivor, giving them immediate refuge from violence and a secure place to stay while planning their next steps.

$250:

Contributes to furnishing a room in a new shelter, including essential items like beds, linens, and basic furniture. This helps create a welcoming, comfortable space for survivors and their families.

$1,000:

Helps fund the construction of new shelters in underserved urban or rural areas, expanding access to safe housing for survivors who might not have any other options nearby.
