Last night, our world changed in an instant.
Our beloved Maddox Obregon was involved in a devastating 4 wheeler accident and suffered severe injuries. He was airlifted by Life Flight to the hospital with a traumatic head injury and multiple fractures in his leg. Right now, he is receiving critical medical care, and our family is holding on to faith, hope, and the incredible dedication of the doctors and nurses caring for him.
As parents, there are no words to describe the fear and heartbreak of watching your child fight through something like this. But even in this painful moment, we know that God is greater than any obstacle we face. We trust in His promises, His healing power, and His perfect plan. We are placing Maddox completely in the Lord’s hands and believing for strength, healing, and a full recovery.
Maddox Obregon is more than an athlete. He is a son, a brother, a friend, and an important part of a much larger family. To his teammates, coaches, competitors, and everyone in the track and field community who has watched him grow, compete, and inspire others, we ask that you stand with him now. The track and field family is built on perseverance, resilience, and lifting one another up during life’s toughest moments. Today, Maddox needs that same love and support. We know he is surrounded by a community that believes in him, and we ask you to keep him in your thoughts and prayers every step of the way.
We humbly ask for your prayers. Please join us as prayer warriors, asking God to protect Maddox, guide the medical team with wisdom, bring comfort to our family, and surround us with His peace during this difficult journey. We truly believe in the power of prayer, and we know that every prayer lifted on Maddox’s behalf makes a difference.
Many of you have also asked how you can help. As we focus on being by Maddox’s side throughout his recovery, the unexpected medical expenses, travel costs, rehabilitation, and time away from work will create a significant financial burden. If you feel led to support our family financially, any contribution, no matter the amount, will be deeply appreciated. If you are unable to give, your prayers, words of encouragement, and sharing of this fundraiser are equally meaningful to us.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for standing with our family during this incredibly difficult time. Your kindness, generosity, and unwavering support remind us that we are not walking this road alone.
Please continue to pray for Maddox Obregon. We trust the Lord completely and leave him in His loving hands, believing that He is still in the business of performing miracles.
“God is our refuge and strength, an ever present help in trouble.” Psalm 46:1
