8th Annual Holiday Drive for Chicago Families
It’s everyone's favorite time of year when we get to play Santa for families and kiddos in need. It's the 8th annual holiday drive!
And now we're an OFFICIAL NON-PROFIT! Teachers for Chicago Families, Inc. (TFCF)! We're still the same group of teachers helping the same community. Only now, we’re official with the IRS and get a fancy number to give to Walmart for year-round grants. MOST IMPORTANTLY - you will now get a tax receipt for your donations!
Last year we donated clothes, toiletries, household necessities, food, and toys to three different low-income schools around Chicago. We raise more than $5,500 and Walmart donated an additional $2,500 of household supplies and bedding. We made every penny count and helped five schools and dozens of families. It was one of the best years yet.
This year there has been a huge influx of immigrants to the schools we often support. There are currently 52 kiddos on our Santa list and we're eager to make sure they all get a little something they want and something they need.
As always, every donation goes 100% to the kiddos and families. Your generosity makes a huge difference every year, and every year we are overwhelmed with gratitude. In short - ya’ll rule and we love you for all you do.
