ጣይቱ የባህልና የትምህርት ማዕከል የኢትዮጵያን አኩሪ ታሪክ ባህልና ጥበብ ለመጪው ትውልድ ከነክብሩ ለማስረከብ ከፍተኛ አስተዋፅኦ ያደርጋል።

ጣይቱ የባህልና የትምህርት ማዕከል  በአርቲስት አለምጸሀይ ወዳጆ ተመስርቶ ላለፉት 20 አመታት በመላው አለም የተለያዩ ኪነጥበባዊ እንቅስቃሴዎችን ፣የኪነጥበብ ስልጠናዎችን፣ስነጽሁፋዊ ሁነቶችን በማከናወን ኢትዮጵያዊ እሴቶችን እና ኢትዮጵያዊነትን ሲያስተዋውቅ መቆየቱ ይታወሳል።

ይህ ዓለምአቀፋዊ እንቅስቃሴ በተጠናከረ መንገድ ለሁለት አስርት አመታት መከናወኑ የፈጠረውን ተጽእኖ ያህል በሀገር ውስጥ መስል ፋይዳ ያላቸው እንቅስቃሴዎችን እንዳያደርግ እድል ተነፍጎት ቆይቷል። አሁን ግን በተለምዶ ምኒሊክ አደባባይ ወይም ቅዱስ ጊዮርጊስ ቤተ-ክርስቲያን ፊት ለፊት የሚገኘውና ለበርካታ አመታት በፍርድ ቤት ነት ሲያገለግል የኖረው የቢተወደድ ኃ/ጊዮርጊስ ወልደሚካኤል  መኖሪያ ቤት ጣይቱ የባህልና የትምህርት ማእከል  ታሪካዊ፣ ባሕላዊና ጥበባዊ እንቅስቃሴዎች እንዲያረግበት ተወሰኗል። ሆኖም ይህ የመኖሪያ ቤት 155 አመታትን ያስቆጠረ፣ተገቢው ጥበቃ እና እንክብካቤ ያልተደረገለት በመሆኑ በአሁኑ ወቅት ለምንም አይነት አገልግሎት መዋል አይችልም። 

በዚህም ምክኒያት የቤቱን ታሪካዊ ይዘት በጠበቀ መንገድ ዳግም የማደስና ለስራ ዝግጁ የማድረግ ሀላፊነት በማዕከሉ ላይ ተጥሏል።

የቤቱን እድሳት ለማስጀመር እና አጠቃላይ ቀጣይ የባሕል ማእከሉን እንቅስቃሴዎች በይፋ ለማስጀመር  መጋቢት 4 ቀን 2013  ከጠዋቱ 3:00 ሰዓት ጀምሮ የገቢ ማሰባሰቢያ መርሀ ግብር ተዘጋጅቷል። ይህ ማዕከል የኢትዮጵያን አኩሪ ታሪክ ባሕልና ጥበብ ለመጪው ትውልድ ከነክብሩ ለማስረከብ ከፍተኛ አስተዋፅኦ የሚያደርግ በመሆኑ ሁላችሁም የተለመደ ትብብራችሁን በማድረግ እውን ታደርጉ ዘንድ እንጠይቃለን።ለሚደረግልን ትብብር ከወዲሁ እናመሰግናለን ።

ቲፕ የመስጠት ምርጫ የእርስዎ ቢሆንም ተጨማሪ  ችሮታው (ቲፕ) ለጣይቱ ማዕከል ገቢ እንደማይሆን ከወዲሁ ልናሳስቦት እንወዳለን​። ስለዚህ​ ቲፕ ሳይጨምሩ እርዳታዎን ለመስጠት የሚከተለውን ያድርጉ፤ ‘TIP’ ከሚለው መስመር ‘OTHER’ የሚለውን ይምረጡ። በቲፑ ሳጥን ውስጥ ዜሮ (0.0) ከሞሉ በኋላ የእርዳታውን የገንዘብ መጠን በእርዳታው ቦታ ብቻ ይሙሉ።

Tayitu Cultural and Educational Center (TCEC), founded by artist Alemtsehay Wedajo, has been promoting Ethiopian values and Ethiopian culture] through various cultural activities, art training, and literary events worldwide for the past twenty years.
Although the center- served globally for two decades, it was denied the opportunity to serve and engage in similar activities in Ethiopia. However, It is our pleasure to announce that TCEC will now be able to operate next to  Menelik Square, at the late Bitweded Haile Giorgis W/Michael’s mansion located in Addis Ababa.

This historical mansion was used as a court for over a century. This historical mansion is 155 years old and has not been adequately maintained.

As a result, it’s currently deemed uninhabitable. An extensive restoration and renovation work is required.  

The burden of restoration and renovation has been delegated to TCEC. To this end, a fundraising event is scheduled for March 13, 2021,  at 9:00 AM to assist in the cultural center's renovation and official occupation.

We would like to ask you to join us in this fundraising effort and become a part of the movement to preserve Ethiopian history, culture, and art for the future generation.
