Tap Cancer Out, Inc.

Hi, my name is Mina. I have been doing Brazilian Jiu Jitsu for two years and competing regularly in tournaments. I am collecting money for the Tap Cancer Out (a 501(c)(3) charitable organization) to donate to people with cancer. My name is Gideon Jancu. I am 16 years old and I live in Queens, NY. I have been studying Brazilian Jiu Jitsu since I was seven years old. When I was eleven, I started fundraising for an organization called Tap Cancer Out, which holds charity jiu jitsu tournaments to raise money for cancer research. My mother is in cancer remission, my grandmother died of cancer, and one of my grandfathers currently has cancer. I am doing my own 3-year research project through my high school to try to find some kind of new immunotherapy treatment for the kind of cancer which my grandfather has, which is acute myeloid leukemia. While I do this, I continue to fundraise for Tap Cancer Out, and to volunteer at their tournaments to help in all sorts of ways. By the end of the coming weekend in Boston, I will have volunteered 40 hours in three weekends in their Long Island, Philadelphia, and Boston tournaments.
