To establish the very first Masjid in Romeoville, IL that will serve Muslim families of Romeoville and surrounding communities.
Alhumdullilah in 2014 T.H.F., was able to acquire a property with 5+ acre land in the midst of Romeoville, IL. Utilizing the existing structure, we were able to hold 5-time prayers, full-time Hifz program, and weekend Quran classes along with Taraweeh during Ramadan. Due to the lack of funds, we were not able to meet the building code requirements of the County and are no longer able to use the Property.
In 2017, Alhamdulillah with tremendous efforts, we were able to get all the required building/site permits approved to bring the existing building as per County Code. We are in dire need of Funds to complete construction. The sooner we renovate, the sooner we can open our doors and reap the benefits of a much-needed masjid in the community and our goal is to finish this before the coming Ramadan.
A Masjid is a hub of social activities that brings the Muslim community together and provide a place for our youth to become better Muslims. I request every individual to take a leading role in supporting this project and help in any way they can including raising funds, as building a house of Allah is a highly commendable Islamic duty that we should all partake in.
