Overview

We are TAU Manifesto, an FTC robotics team dedicated to leveraging technology to solve real-world problems. We are partnering with TAASA Health Inc., a non-profit organization focused on improving public health, to design and build an innovative robot for biohazardous waste removal. This rugged robot will make waste management safer, more efficient, and environmentally friendly.

Why This Matters

Biohazardous waste poses significant health risks to workers and the environment. In rural Uganda, traditional handling methods are labor-intensive and often unsafe. Our robot will reduce these risks by:

Automating waste handling to minimize human exposure.

Increasing efficiency in biohazard waste disposal.

Pioneering sustainable practices in waste management.

This project is not just about technology; it’s about protecting people while helping a non-profit and our planet.

Team Perseverance First Lego League Robotics is fundraising
Light the Way in Uganda with FLL Team Perseverance
We are Team Perseverance, a group of passionate and dedicated 6th graders, participating in the FIRST LEGO League Robotics competition.

As part of the competition, we identified a real-world problem and developed an innovative solution to address it.

We chose to focus on the lack of electricity at Taasa Health Inc's clinic which serves the rural population in Kalungu, Uganda. We have developed a plan to install an off-grid hybrid solar power system that will provide reliable and sustainable electricity to the clinic. The system will reduce the clinic's operating costs, improve the quality of medical care, and enhance the clinic's ability to serve the community.

We will need to raise $15,000 to fund the installation of the hybrid power system.

By contributing to the campaign, you will be supporting our mission to provide sustainable energy to a community in need and improve access to healthcare in rural Uganda.
