Want to join me in making a difference?
I'm raising money to benefit Survivors and Advocates for Empowerment, Inc. (Dc Safe), and any donation will help make an impact.
DC Safe's mission is to ensure the safety and self-determination of domestic violence survivors in Washington, DC through emergency services, court advocacy, and system reform.
One way you can assist is by helping DC SAFE to keep their Emergency Assistance Funds robust. The fund is flexible and can accommodate a survivor's needs in any way they need it. For example, it can pay for a cell phone, security deposit for a new apartment, travel, medication or a lock change. This may seem small but any of these things can make the difference between life and death for a survivor in need.
The following gift levels show you the kind of impact you can make.
$25 - An emergency taxi to our shelter
$60 - will help us replenish the Emergency Assistance Fund
$75 - will help us provide Emergency Food.
$150 - will provide a night of shelter.
$400 - will provide an additional VoIP phone (internet phone), to use on our Response Line; allowing us to provide a lifeline to survivors.
$500 - An emergency lock change
$1,000 - Rental assistance for a family in crisis
$2,500 - 20 nights of safe housing
These funds will go directly from gofundme to DC Safe (EIN: 41-2226446).
If you prefer to donate online then you can also do so here: https://www.dcsafe.org/donatenow
