Sumner Community Food Bank

This is my 7th Annual Dieringer Alumni & Friend's Annual Food Drive benefiting The Sumner Community Food Bank.

I'm happy to announce a record breaking year of donations last year, over $4,000 and a large truckload of food!!

Times have been tough this year on a lot of our neighbors and our old neighborhoods. This year I'm hoping we can get together again to help feed some families.

I was asked again last year why I started this.

After graduation I remember driving by my favorite school NTMS and thinking how awesome it would be to pull up with a trunk full of food for their canned food drive to give back! But year after year went by and I never did. 7 years ago I figured I would try an online food drive. To my surprise we raised almost $1600. Since then we've raised over $12,000 and Hundreds of pounds of food and diapers!!

There has been amazing continued support since the beginning that is greatly appreciated!! ALL DONATIONS TAX DEDUCTIBLE. All proceeds go Directly to the Sumner Community Food Bank.

I'll fill you in with my story since 2013 our First Dieringer Alumni and Friends Food Drive benefiting the Sumner Food Bank. 

It's our 6th year, and I'm excited to show you what I have to share with you Alumni! 

A few years after graduating HS I kept driving by the NTMS sign advertising for their food drive. I always thought how cool it would be to pull up with a trunk full of food to show Dieringer Kids stick together even years after leaving. I never did anything like that though...Until 2013. I came up with the idea of using social media to spread the word. We donated $1540 in cash and around 600 lbs of food and diapers! Since starting almost $7,000 and over 1000 pounds of food and diapers! 

I'm setting our goal at a hefty $1500. We've hit it 5 of 6 years with everyone's help. 

I called out for more help this year!! I hope it brings back memories and a donation of any kind.
