This year the 2020 Homecoming Court will be raising money to support Suicide Prevention and Awareness. The money donated from my friends and family for this charity will be part of the Penny-A-Vote for homecoming nominees. It is one of the 4 categories for the homecoming competition. More information about Suicide Prevention Initiatives (Suicide Prevention Initiatives): We have studied the social and psychological aspects of what puts people at risk for suicide in the US, European countries and Eastern Asia. We use a short term psychodynamic treatment which we have found more successful than other treatments. Currently we are treating combat veterans with PTSD who are at risk for suicide. We began by treating 100 Veitnam combat veterans with PTSD, a number of factors contributed to the ones that were suicidal but the most significant was guilt over their behavior in combat. The veterans are tested before they begin the treatment and then mid treatment at 6 weeks, at the end of the 12 weeks of treatment and then at 3 and 6 months post treatment.

Our family now consists of over ONE MILLION people! That's crazy! So what now? How do we make a difference? 

Given everything that has been going on with high-profile suicides, and TV series showcasing these issues, and given my personal experience with it, it is clear to me that, together, we can help people in need. People who, for whatever reason, decide that they cannot go any longer. People who believe that their life is broken, and that it can't be fixed. We can help them and show them that there is a way!

Please donate whatever you can, and all of it will go to Suicide Prevention Initiatives at the end of the month (June). I have personally donated $1,000, and now it's up to you. If you can only donate a few bucks, then THANK YOU. If you can donate more, I will be so grateful and happy to have built such a strong, giving community.

And if you know someone who needs help, don't turn your back on them. Talk about it. Ask questions. Tell their family. Help them!

Hi my name is Lizzy Barrett I am a senior at Notre Dame Highschool in Lawrenceville New Jersey. Before the coronavirus shut down our schools and ended our sports seasons my teammates and I wanted to start a fundraiser to honor and remember Coby St.Phard, Sean Vogel, and Nick Pratico who were taken too early from us. With this go fund me we want to give back and help others who feel lost and confused especially during this heart wrenching time to know that there are so many people out there who love you.
