SANC shall work to achieve the following objectives: 1- Coordinate and unite efforts pertaining to the challenges facing the Sudanese communities in the United States. 2- Plan, execute and implement programs pertinent to their respective organizations, and between member organizations in various areas relating to the organization activities. 3- Exchange resources, ideas, expertise, and experiences between member organizations in various areas relating to the organization activities. 4- Connect people of Sudanese origin in the United States, especially second and third generations with their home land Sudan, through shared activities. 5- Establish and strengthen the associations' relationships with the country of origin, and country of residence. 6- Undertake needs assessments and write grants, and seek financial support that is available through American funding providers to fund projects of the organization. 7- Empower women by encouraging their community input, voices, and actions, and finding effective means to raise and sustain the representation of women, their participation and their involvement in all organization activities by promoting gender equality practices, creating opportunities for women to empower themselves, and addressing key issues they see as pertinent to their life. Strive to create a community environment that would assist women's self-reliance, and emergence of women leaders from local organizations to that of the Board of the organization. 8- Encourage members to acquire all levels of education and address the importance of pursuing advanced studies in all fields of knowledge. Engage in learning new things, developing critical thinking, and encouraging scientific research, and stress the importance of transferring knowledge to the country of origin. 9- Engage the Sudanese, or the Sudanese American youth in the life and workings of organization, and its member organizations. Encourage them to take leadership roles from local organizations level to that of the Board of the organization. Recognize the youth achievements in schools, education institutions, sports, and in all other community activities. 10- Welcome, support and empower new immigrants and refugees and their families of Sudanese origin to the life in the US. Facilitate their sustainable integration into their new environment and culture through providing necessary training and empowerment with new skills including English language learning, helping them with cultural adjustment, employment preparation and placement, legal aid and referral services, and emotional support. 11- Encourage and promote the formation of Sudanese American cultural, social, professional and business forums in the US, and develop methods to connect such forums to the organization.
