Jordan Jones is fundraising

Miles for the SAFE Project
Hi!! My name is Jordan Jones, and I'm reaching out to you to support the Stop Addiction Fatality Epidemic (SAFE) Project. The SAFE Project is a nonprofit organization that is dedicated to tackling the addiction epidemic that affects so many lives across the nation. I personally feel like by supporting organizations like these, we can contribute to a brighter future where families are whole, and individuals can find hope and healing.
Personally, addiction is something that has played a large role in my life. Both of my parents struggled greatly with addiction during my younger years, and I unfortunately lost my mother when I was 14 years old from an opioid overdose. She loved my brother and I more than anything in the world, and despite her struggles, still provided us with an incredible mother figure and childhood growing up. She was a high school biology teacher at Platt High School in Meriden, Connecticut and one of the main reasons why I have pursued a career for myself in scientific research.
As I navigated through my late high school, and early college years, I often found myself using similar vices to cope. I knew if I kept going down this path, I myself could potentially follow a similar fate as the woman I loved most. Knowing that I wanted to provide a better future for myself and the people I love, I began using health and fitness as an outlet to escape the calamities of life.
This is exactly why I am making this fundraiser! I will be running an 8 hour race in Brookfield, CT and along the way, I hope to raise money and awareness for this cause that is very near and dear to my heart. All proceeds will go directly to the SAFE Project!!
Your donations will directly support SAFE's vital mission through initiatives like:
- Educational programs that raise awareness about addiction and prevention methods.
- Support services for those in recovery, helping them reintegrate into society and rebuild their lives.
Please join me in this collective effort to make a change. Every contribution, no matter the size, makes a difference. Let's come together to put up a fight against the addiction epidemic!
