ICHS Fundraising for St Mungo’s – A Collective Act of Integrity, Courtesy, Hard Work and Success
At Ilford County High School, our core values are not just words on a page, they guide how we show up for one another and for our wider community. It is with these values at heart that we are proudly coming together to raise money for St Mungo’s, a charity that offers safety, hope, and a pathway forward for people experiencing homelessness.
On Sunday 17th May 2026, members of ICHS staff will be taking on the Hackney Half Marathon. Some of us will walk every step with determination, others will jog steadily, and a few seasoned runners will push for personal bests. But however we move across that finish line, one truth unites us: We run with purpose. We run with compassion. We run because every person deserves dignity and a place to call home.
This cause embodies everything we stand for at ICHS:
Integrity
Doing what is right, even when no one is watching. Supporting St Mungo’s is our commitment to doing the right thing for the vulnerable in society who need our help the most.
Courtesy
Treating others with kindness, respect, and humanity. Our fundraising is an act of compassion that recognises the shared humanity in all of us.
Hard Work
Showing resilience, effort and commitment through training and on the day. In addition, whether training for 13.1 miles or organising events, our school community is working tirelessly to make an impact.
Success
Achieving meaningful outcomes together. Every penny we raise brings real change to many lives. Our success is measured in the hope we help restore.
Homelessness is more than the absence of a roof, it can mean the loss of safety, stability and confidence. St Mungo’s walks beside people as they rebuild, offering shelter, specialist support, skills programmes and the belief that brighter days are possible. Their motto is 'Ending homelessness, rebuilding lives.' and last year they supported 28,000 people away from homelessness last year.
Your generosity, whether pennies, pounds, or simply spreading the word will make a genuine difference. Every contribution is deeply appreciated.
This page is just the beginning. Throughout the year, we will be hosting school wide fundraising events, uniting our community in joyful, creative and purposeful ways to keep supporting St Mungo’s vital mission. Their motto is 'Ending homelessness, rebuilding lives.' and last year they supported 28,000 people away from homelessness last year.
Thank you for standing with us, for embodying our ICHS values, and for helping us make compassion visible in action.
