Title: Building a Legacy: Sri Raghavendra Swamy Brundhavana in Elgin, Illinois, USA
The Vision
For our community in Elgin, Illinois, a long-held dream is finally taking shape. We are embarking on a sacred journey to construct the Sri Raghavendra Swamy Brundhavana at our Matha. This project is more than just a construction; it is the establishment of a spiritual home that will serve as a sanctuary of peace, devotion, and culture for generations to come.
We are excited to share our preliminary design sketches for the Brundhavana. These plans include intricate pillars and the divine presence of Lakshmi Narasimha and Prana Devaru (Hanuman), reflecting the traditional architectural heritage of our faith.
The Purpose of This Fundraiser
To bring this $200,000 vision to life, we are hosting a grand musical offering: Spoorthi Rao Live in Chicago. Spoorthi will be performing a soul-stirring repertoire of Bhakti songs in Kannada, Tamil, Telugu, and Marathi.
While the concert on May 2nd is a celebration for our local community, the goal of this GoFundMe is to allow our extended family—friends, devotees, and well-wishers from across the country—to be part of this historic construction. 100% of the proceeds from this campaign go directly toward the Brundhavana construction fund.
