Help plant 5 trees for my 50th birthday!
Trees have been with us throughout our lives. They are in the backgrounds of our photos, provide shade on a hot summer day, and lift our moods when they show their fiery colors in the spring! I would love to commemorate my 50th by planting five redbuds in Southwind Park so everyone can enjoy them and their beauty!

I'm raising money for the Springfield Parks Foundation Inc., and the donations will be used to purchase, plant, and ensure these trees thrive. Thanks in advance for contributing to the beauty of the park, while helping me celebrate the big 5-0!

Jim Elliott Memorial Bike Path Shelter Fundraiser
The Springfield Park District and the Springfield Parks Foundation are teaming up to build a shelter along a section of the Interurban Trail. The shelter will be located halfway between the Hazel Dell parking lot and Woodside Road.

The money raised for this fundraiser will help build this shelter. When completed, a plaque will be made in Jim Elliott's name to remember one of the most kindhearted bike leaders Springfield had. For years, Jim and his wife Sandy led the "C-group" bike rides. Their rides got many individuals interested in cycling in our community.

Thanks in advance for your contribution to this cause which means so much to all of us in Jim's memory.
