Help Us Bring Life-Saving Care & Education to the Dominican
Hi! My name is ElleAnne, and I’m the Nursing Assistant and First Aid Instructor at Spring Lake Park High School, part of the Opportunities and Emergency Care (OEC) Department.
For the past 12 years, the SLP OEC Foundation has been traveling to the Dominican Republic to provide medical care to underserved communities. Our team runs mobile medical clinics in some of the poorest neighborhoods, offering essential services like diabetes screenings, prenatal care, child wellness checks, and much-needed medications. We meet people where they are—often those who wouldn’t otherwise have access to healthcare—and do everything we can to connect them with the care they deserve.
This year, we’ve been invited to go one step further: we’ll be training local hospital and EMS staff to help strengthen healthcare in their community year-round.
To make all this possible, we’re raising funds for:
- Medical supplies and medications (both over-the-counter and prescribed)
- Educational training equipment (manikins, airway tools, EMS packs, oxygen tanks, and more)
We have a team of 22 dedicated professionals—including EMRs, EMTs, RNs, and doctors—traveling with us. Each of us plans to carry a suitcase filled with life-saving supplies.
Your donation will go directly toward providing critical healthcare and education to those in need.
No amount is too small—every dollar brings us closer to making a difference in the lives of those we serve.
Thank you for your support, compassion, and generosity. ❤️
