Special Commission On Relief and Education

A few years ago, we raised money for the displaced people of Ukraine. Our donations went to fund the efforts of a priest, Fr. Marton Egressy , and his family in western Ukraine to house and feed the people fleeing the war stricken regions of their homeland. After helping so many others, Marton is now in need of help for his own family.

Marton's 5-year old daughter, Abigel, is awaiting medical treatment of a cleft palate that she’s had since birth. After several failed surgeries in Hungary, Abigel still has difficulty eating, drinking, and speaking and is prone to chronic ear infections. Now, thanks to the generosity of a humanitarian foundation called the Special Commission On Relief And Education (SCORE), Abigel is here in the United States for a life changing surgery from some of the very best cleft palate surgeons in the country.

The doctors at Nationwide Children's Hospital in Columbus Ohio approved her procedure on a charitable basis on the condition that she first secure the funds for the dental work that has to happen before the operation. The estimated cost of the dental work is $10,000, and is necessary to ensure a successful outcome for Abigel. The funds we raise here will be channeled through the SCORE Foundation, with all the proceeds going to Abigel.
