Special Camps for Special Citizens, Inc

Hi,

Please help me give back to Special Camps. I know first hand the life changing benefits of attending this amazing camp. Children and adults with intellectual disabilities and autism are treated to a week away from home to increase their independence, social skills, self-esteem while having a have a whole lot of fun. Teen, adult and nurse volunteers like me call this a life-changing opportunity to learn by living side by side with these amazing campers. Families with a passion to lovingly care for their most precious family members are offered a week of respite.

My personal goal is to sponsor a volunteer like myself for $600 or a camper / counselor for $1,200.

Special Camps, hosted in Ingleside, IL offer swimming, fishing, canoeing, Ziplining, yoga, archery, crafts, woodworking, drumline lessons, adapted sports, games and talent shows to 180 campers with special needs per season, with the help of a 100% volunteer team of camp nurses, adult leaders, and teen camp counselors. Evening parties include bonfires with s'mores, songs and skits, bingo, parades, competitions, incredible dance parties and more.

Thank you for taking the time to read about my amazing camp. Donations of any denomination are greatly appreciated in helping us keep Special Camps affordable for all.

Family is Matching All Donations... So your donation will be doubled!

YOU WILL BE ASKED ON THE NEXT PAGE IF YOU WISH TO "GIVE A TIP". SORRY, THIS TIP $$ DOES NOT GO TO US. IT GOES TO GO FUND ME. PLEASE FEEL FREE TO MARK THAT WITH A BIG ZERO.

Last Year's Little Miracles

• A camper who spoke only occasional words since contracting COVID 4 years ago, now speaks once again in sentences! We were so thrilled, he stayed an additional week for added practice.

• A new camper, eager to tell her parents everything about camp, spoke for in full sentences for the first time Now, her parents know she can.
